Everyone loves music.  Why does it touch us so?
Our last 2009 Northside Outreach (Dec 5th, 2009) featured a performance of the contemporary cantata 'Son of David'. (You can read more about this musical event in the accompanying article below.)  It was a great evening!  If you missed the performance, then we will be back in 2010!  See below for more details.   Why is it that we love to compose and sing such music?  And why does it tug on the heart?

As we begin 2010, we are staying with a theme of music and worship and you are most welcome to join us when we meet on Sunday 14th March at Ku-ring-gai Town Hall, 1186 Pacific Highway (near Telegraph Road), Pymble at 4:00 p.m. for a seminar by Bob Wagner on 'Renewing our song'.

Son of David

Returning later this year!

A cantata of seven movements, ‘Son of David’ has been composed for soloists, choir and chamber orchestra. It has been written in a contemporary classical style by members of the music ministry team at Sydney Christian Fellowship, and draws on themes from the prophetic scriptures that point towards the coming of Jesus Christ, and His great salvation. 


With three successful performances completed in 2009, we are now working on the 2010 series.  Stay tuned for more details on dates, times and locations.  For more details contact us.
Mens Breakfasts

Once every two months (or so) we run Mens Breakfasts at our Leumeah and our East Bowral church halls.  Each breakfast is open to men aged 17 and above and is free of charge.  We take about 30-40 minutes to enjoy food and fellowship and then listen to an inspirational message from one of our ministry team.

The message is geared to challenge our views and attitudes to the gospel of Jesus Christ and invariably results in a call-to-action regarding the way we communicate and support one another and our families.

Our programme recommences on March 27 at Leumeah.  We hope to see you there!
