When we are carnal, we judge everything according to our own view of God's law, not knowing that when we use the law in this way, we break the law and come under its condemnation. Christ fulfilled the entire law of God and nailed its condemnation with Himself to the cross, setting us free from vain legal strivings to live by His grace and love, if we will abide in Him.
